Leila's first internship experience in the United States shaped her commitment to creating opportunities for students and she has since dedicated her career on building strong leadership pathways. With more than 20 years of experience in cultural exchange, she remains deeply interested in how people communicate and collaborate across cultures and audiences. She serves as the executive director of International Focus, a local organization that brings global experiences and perspectives to Triangle-area residents. Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and friends, enjoys the arts, nature, volunteering in the community, and traveling to Tunisia.
